Dust & Splinters was founded by Dan Small in 2014. Dan is lucky enough to won a stretch of ancient woodland in Towcester, Northamptonshire. He meticulously manages the woodland, from planting saplings to felling older trees and clearing patches for new growth. He allows the woodland to have a full life cycle that is efficient for supplying wood, but also great for the trees and shrubs themselves. Utilising the wood he produces onsite, Dan makes a multitude of beautifully bespoke products that he sells to help pay for managing the land. From hand crafted axes to log stores and rustic shelves, Dan really is a wonder with his craft. He even has his own treehouse! Dan wanted some images for social media to help promote his work.
